Abstract
The Vestibular Migraine (VM) and Persistent Postural Perceptual Dizziness (PPPD) are complex and prevalent entities in vestibular medicine. Both have diagnostic criteria from the Bárány Society that identify them as clearly different conditions. However, their frequent coexistence and similarity in clinical manifestations are notable. Since there are few reviews that compile existing work on the subject, this study aims to present the data provided by the evidence. The main goal is to identify and synthesize the reporting of common pathophysiological characteristics and clinical manifestations, the impact on quality of life, the concomitant relationship, and the challenges involving VM and PPPD. It is important to note that the definition of PPPD is relatively recent, highlighting the need for research to delve into this field. To achieve this, a search for scientific articles was conducted based on keywords in databases. Although the collected results show a close relationship between both diagnostic entities in all the dimensions mentioned, it is suggested to advance towards a more comprehensive understanding that contributes to addressing the diagnostic and therapeutic process of these pathologies in an integral and effective manner.
